About The Engineer
Built in 1862/1865, The Engineer was originally called “The Bird in Hand” but has since been known as The Engineer when the railway from London to Bedford was built in 1868. We have a lovely function room available to hire for meals, parties or corporate meetings. Our garden room is fitted with a TV and sound system and seats 30 people or can comfortably fit 60 for less formal celebrations. Rates include: Room Hire, unlimited Tea, Coffee, water and Lunch. Alternative catering options are available and can be discussed with the venue.
